Honda Elite Scooter, the engine oil light is on, what to do?
I notice it on at night but not during the day, whats wrong?
I dropped it once very recently and noticed a fluid coming out from one of the sides, it looked like coke cola or pepsi.

oil light on = low oil. add
drainage is from overflow when you dropped
im guessing you scooter is a 2 stroke with oil injection.
the cola color is the fuel and the oil mixture.

Most of the time when the oil light comes on you need to had oil to the engine because it’s low of oil, if it’s fill of oil when you check it , you may need to change the oil.
It could be low on oil, it could be a bad oil pump, or it could be a clogged oil screen. It could also be a faulty sending unit for the oil pressure switch. Do you change the oil and filter every 3000 miles? Do you check the oil level prior to starting the scooter EVERY TIME? If the oil is between the marks and the oil is good quality, then I would look towards a clogged screen or faulty sending unit. If after cleaning the screen (if you can get to it, without engine disassembly) then hav the sending unit tested. If that is okay, then the oil pump may be failing.
Idiot lights do not come on usually for no reason. Something needs attending to.
take it to the Honda Dealer
explain to him you dropped it
tell him to check the crankcase vent hose
don’t drop it again!
