How come a Honda Elite 80cc scooter max speed is 42mph on a flat and a stock 50cc scooter can go about 40mph on a flat?

50cc two stroke or four stroke? If you’re comparing it to a two stroke, assuming its derestricted, you’ll see a similar top speed as a two stroke has a power advantage over a four stroke engine due to the nature of how they work, with the advantage being 30 to 50% depending on what you’re comparing.
i had an elite and took it on the freeway regularly….stock is 50+ and you can soup that about 10mph
Find the restrictor and remove it. Or perform the following:
1, Cut the pink wire that tells the back tire when to max out on the speed.
2. Upjet the Carburetor
3. Install a high performance spark plug
5. Swip out the CVT rollers for lighter ones.
6. Careful, this cost some money… install a high performance exhaust and muffler.
Or, you could always buy a higher cc which means that you would have to get a Motorcycle Endorsement.
Good Luck
