Do you recommend any good brand for scooter other than the expensive Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki?
I found a lot of cheap chinese mopeds but who wants to buy them anyway. I’m looking for good quality150cc moped for 00 max.
Thanks in advance

The only reasonably well built and affordable bikes, other than the Japanese and European scooters, would be from KYMco and SYM. I have heard some very good things about these companies. Both are companies that have spun off from Honda and are based in Taiwan.
However, while a parts supply chain is in place, somewhat, there is a limited number of service centers for these brands at this time. As sales increase, KYMco and SYM will address these problems, but for the foreseeable future, the Japanese manufacturers have a lock on this market.
The other option is to go with the European scooters, which are in fact very well built, but have a rather high price tag on them. The parts supply chain for the European scooters is problematic at best, but workable.
If all you can afford, at this time, is a low buck Chinese scooter, than keep saving your money until you can afford a nice scooter. http://www.clevelandscooters.com/id60.html
There are some good used Japanese and European scooters out there as well. Just don’t settle for something that there is no parts or service available for.

Look at Kymco you can get a Agility 125 for about that much. Kycmo is rated a better scooter than those jap scooters. They have a 150cc models as well. The only scooters better than Kymco are Piaggio and Vespa.
The one thing you can count on with the Japanese brands is service after the sale. You can get parts, you can get service.
I know of 1 Kymco sales outlet in all of TN. (where I live). Some states do not even have that. Will Kymco be there after the sale for parts and service? Too soon to tell. But at least they are trying to get dealerships established, unlike the cheap Chinese imports that may cost $600-$1000 for a brand new unit, which is great, till it breaks down and you can’t get a part to get it back running. Then it becomes an expensive throw away toy.
Buying a Chinese scooter is a waste of money. You are better off flushing your money down the toilet than top buy a Chinese moped.
In the New Zealand market you would be hard pressed to find a brand new scooter of good quality for 1500-2000 dollars. I was very interested in purchasing a Vespa PX, but those were going for about 5000 to 6000 dollars here and I was not prepared to pay that sort of money for a scooter. Second hand market is where I eventually purchased (I got a RV150 Belladonna for $3500 that had done only 368ks and about 6 months old and am more than happy) Do your home work, research your brands and pays ya money
