i read somewhere that it is under the seat but i cannot find it.

I am looking at a used 1987 Honda Elite 250 scooter in very good condition with low miles. Can anyone tell me what a fair price is? I usually use kbb.com, but they do not have the Honda scooters listed that far back.
Thanks for the answers. Turns out the owner does not have a title so the bike is useless in my state (Connecticut) except for parts.
